About the Project
Water Bowl Checker is an app that tells you if a pet's water bowl is full, empty, or low on water. First, the Raspberry Pi camera takes a picture and sends it to the AI engine. This AI engine was trained using Google's Vision machine learning library along with pictures of full, empty, and low water level bowls. The AI engine then decides what level of water is in the bowl and sends the result back to the Raspberry Pi. The Raspberry Pi then sends this information to a database where it is then sent off to the mobile app. The mobile app shows both the time and the most recent result that has been sent to it. This allows the user to check the water level status of the water bowl in real time so that they can know when to fill the pet's, or pets', water bowl(s).
