Water Damage Lakeway
With the hardest freeze in a decade for our area the power goes out all over Texas causing billions of dollars of water damage. The freezing temperature last night and our inability to heat our home caused a pipe to burst and now with daylight and the rising temperature the burst pipe was spewing water from the ceiling and flooding our home. I pulled out my phone and I called our local Lakeway water damage restoration service and they responded quickly, arriving in less than an hour. I now realize how lucky we were to get a response to our call since there were hundreds if now thousands of homeowners and businesses in the area dealing with the same problem.
They knew right away what needed to be done, but first thing on their list was to turn off the water at the meter. Then they called for backup because of how bad this situation turned out. Their team worked diligently throughout the day cleaning up the water and drying floor space until finally everything looked normal again.
Fortunately, our insurance cover most of the cost and because we got the water up and everything dried out so quickly we were able the avoid any problems with mold. I was so happy to have my house back after the service was done. I had always wondered what it would be like to live in a wet environment but now I know!
