In 2022 the bell ringers decided that it was time, nearly 120 years after the last major change to the bells in the tower, to engage Whites of Appleton to carry out an inspection to provide reassurance that the bells are safe to ring.  The report from Whites provided that reassurance, but also detailed how the bells could be restored to bring them to a good condition to make them fit for the next century of ringing.  The restoration project was born....
