Wasteland Prophets Announce Debut Single “Doomsday Prophecy” — Out February 28, 2026
Wasteland Prophets is the latest collaboration between guitarists Frank Almendra and Anton Parr, known for their work in the 1990s Brazilian thrash metal band Avalon and later projects including Hoax Society. Now, in 2026, they return with a new sonic vision — heavier in spirit, darker in tone, and rooted in blues-soaked hard rock rather than pure metal aggression.
The title track is an apocalyptic, blues-infused hard rock anthem inspired by prophetic visions of the end times, telling the story of a street preacher warning humanity that the final chapter is near. Built on heavy grooves, cinematic tension, and preacher-like vocals, the song feels less like entertainment and more like an alarm bell.
The single also features a dark reinterpretation of Red Right Hand, originally by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. The band’s version leans into atmosphere and menace, transforming the classic into a slow-burning, hypnotic companion piece to the prophetic urgency of the title track.
Wasteland Prophets describe themselves in simple terms:
"This is not entertainment. It’s an alert, a broadcast from the edge of the map." or yet "The gospel with the mercy burned out of it, with no sermons and no salvation. Just riffs."
They’re the pastors of overdriven amps, preaching distorted psalms written in dust, sweat, and feedback. Music for when the sky’s already broken.
Release Date: February 28, 2026

With Doomsday Prophecy, Wasteland Prophets deliver a thunderous and unapologetic opening statement
A blistering fusion of 70s hard rock swagger and raw blues-soaked grit. Built on searing guitar riffs, pounding rhythms, and vocals that sound torn from desert winds and neon-lit midnight highways, the album feels both ominous and defiantly alive.
These songs don’t just whisper about the end of the world, they stare it down. Doomsday Prophecy channels unrest, reckoning, and resilience into towering hooks and slow-burning grooves. It’s the sound of standing in the dust as the sky darkens, amplifiers humming, hearts racing, and choosing to play louder anyway.
From swaggering, riff-driven anthems to brooding, slow-burn blues epics, Wasteland Prophets craft a record that feels cinematic, urgent, and untamed. This isn’t just a warning. it’s a battle cry wrapped in distortion and fire.
This first single contains two songs being the "side B" a thunderous cover of Red Right Hand " originally by Nick cave and the bad seeds.
Doomsday Prophecy proves that even at the edge of collapse, rock and roll still roars
