Waste-Protein Tech is a Bio-Refinery company, which is registered as a private limited company with BRELA Registration No: 164334627. Currently, we are operating in Dar-es-Salaam and Kigoma. We upcycle organic waste using the Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae an insect native to Africa. We processed organic waste and turning into animal & fish feed and fertilizer.

Looking at the Agriculture section, we realise that 70 per cent of the cost comes from feed or fertilizer for livestock and crop farmers. So we have started working on these issues to revolutionise the animal feed and Organic fertilizer Industry in Tanzania. Also educating local farmers on how to use organic fertilizer and organic feed for their livestock farm.

By introducing waste to valuable raw materials, we want to bring a revolution in the animal & fish feed and organic fertilizer industry in Tanzania.

Waste-Protein Tech Limited also running the Waste-to-Compost Door-to-Door Waste Segregation Campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of waste segregation at the source and promote the adoption of sustainable waste management practices in residential areas of Dar-es-Salaam. The campaign focuses on educating and engaging households in segregating their waste into different categories such as biodegradable, recyclable, and non-recyclable materials.

Our work in waste management goes beyond just collecting and processing waste; we are driven by a vision of a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future. Through our continuous efforts, we hope to inspire a sense of responsibility and encourage active participation among community members to preserve our environment and create a better world for future generations. Together, we can reduce water pollution, minimize pollution from waste also make a lasting impact and pave the way for a brighter and healthier tomorrow.
