WASP is a UK-based husband-and-wife business specialising in slot car accessories, scenery items, figures, small buildings and tools. Working from our home workshop, we design and manufacture a wide range of products for hobbyists and collectors.
Our figure collection spans scales from 1/64 to 1/12, making them suitable for slot cars, dioramas, model railways and display projects. All products are designed and produced by us, with the exception of selected figures. We take pride in the quality of our work and strive to provide excellent customer service and satisfaction with every order.
WASP Slot Car Accessories is a small UK-based family business run by husband-and-wife team Wayne and Clare. From our home workshop in the beautiful North East of England, we design and manufacture a wide range of 1/32 scale slot car accessories, scenery items, figures, buildings, tools, chassis, and other specialist components for fellow enthusiasts.
Our passion for slot cars goes back to the 1980s, when a Christmas motorbike and sidecar slot car set sparked a lifelong fascination with the hobby. The unforgettable smell of warming motors, the excitement of racing, and the constant challenge of re-slotting cars created memories that still inspire our work today.
Alongside a professional career as a Design Manager for a global diesel engine manufacturer, Wayne has always enjoyed designing, building, and improving slot cars. Like many hobbyists, he spent years experimenting with resin body casting and brass wire chassis construction before discovering the potential of 3D printing.
In 2015, after purchasing a Prusa i3 printer, a whole new world of possibilities opened up. Since then, we have designed and produced everything from chassis, wheels, bodies, motor pods, tyre masters, and inserts to track barriers, guide adaptors, and countless other slot car components. Every product we sell has been created to solve real modelling and racing challenges encountered in our own projects and collections.
We take pride in designing and manufacturing our products ourselves, ensuring quality, durability, and attention to detail. With the exception of some figures, all of our products are designed and produced in-house. Customer satisfaction remains our highest priority, and we are constantly developing new ideas to help fellow collectors, racers, tinkerers, and scratch builders get more enjoyment from their hobby.
We also believe in sharing knowledge with the wider modelling community and regularly make 3D designs available through Thingiverse for other enthusiasts to download, print, and enjoy.
Whether you're building a detailed diorama, restoring a classic slot car, creating a scratch-built racer, or simply looking for quality accessories, we're delighted to be part of your slot car journey.
