At the WASI Lab, we are driven by the belief that Artificial Intelligence should be designed with humanity at its core. Our research explores the fascinating intersection of Human-AI Interaction and Human-Aware AI. Our objective is to not only understand but also to develop AI systems that genuinely benefit and adapt to human needs and societal challenges. 

• April 2025: Paper accepted at AIED 2025 on the cold-start problem in educational AI systems!

• February 2025: Paper accepted at AAAI 2025 on LLM-guided tutoring for social skills training, collaboration with Illumia Labs, University of Alberta and University of Michigan-Dearborn.
