At the WASI Lab, we are driven by the belief that Artificial Intelligence should be designed with humanity at its core. Our research explores the fascinating intersection of Human-AI Interaction and Human-Aware AI. Our objective is to not only understand but also to develop AI systems that genuinely benefit and adapt to human needs and societal challenges. 

Our current initiatives span both theoretical breakthroughs and impactful real-world applications. We are advancing the foundations of theoretical reinforcement learning while simultaneously deploying RL in agriculture to address critical environmental and sustainability challenges. Driven by a commitment to human-centric systems, we also specialize in knowledge tracing and AI in education, developing intelligent tools that adapt to individual learners and transform how people interact with technology.
