Mighty Girl formed in 2005 when Bill & Lena teamed up with Bob Torsello and kicked off a new musical project from the ashes of their previous band, Ghostvilla. In 2007, right before the release of Mighty Girl's first album "Long Gone", the band lost a fan, but gained a lead guitarist in Mark.
Bob Torsello, founding member of the critically acclaimed Shrubs, has also performed and recorded with Patti Smith, Lenny Kaye, and jazz legend David Amram. Besides his work with Mighty Girl, he is currently performing with Glenn Mercer of the Feelies, and Spoken Word poet Janet Hammil. A singer-songwriter in his own right, Nashville cat Mark McNutt also performs with singer-songwriter Elissa Jones and the Tennessee band The Vagrantz. Bill & Lena Fahringer first performed with Ghostvilla at Woodstock's 25th anniversary concert. Bill Fahringer was the original drummer of the New York-based band The Rawtones in the early 80's. Other than that , very little is known about him. Just the way he likes it.
Swedish-born singer-songwriter Lena Fahringer has been writing and performing since the age of 12. She is the granddaughter of Finnish composer Harry Bergstrom, author of numerous Finnish film scores and radio productions.
