The "Thunderbird & Whale" bookstore is really an attorney's office that was converted for filming. It is at 260 South 2nd Street, Saint Helens.
Bella is rescued by Edward in the alley & adjacent parking lot at 225 South 1st Street in St. Helens.
After Edward saves Bella, they drive down 1st Street in St. Helens, past the Columbia Theatre at 212 South 1st.
The "Bloated Toad" restaurant where Edward & Bella have their date after he rescues her is a converted house at 330 South 1st Street in St Helens.
The police station where Charlie works is a private business at 1010 Bridge Street in Vernonia, OR (west of St. Helens).
The scene in the forest clearing where Bella reveals that she knows Edward is a vampire was shot at Oxbow Regional Park at 3010 Southeast Oxbow Parkway in Portland. This was also used in Steven Spielberg's "A.I. (Artificial Intelligence)."
The scenes among the boulders in the woods were filmed around the Stone Cliff Inn at 17900 South Clackamas River Drive south of Carver, OR (thanks to Lisa).
The meadow scene was supposedly added later in the shooting schedule and shot at Griffith Park in Los Angeles.
The Cullen house is the "Hoke House" at 3333 NW Quimby Street in the Forest Park area of Portland, OR. Keep in mind it's a private residence and you can't see much from the street.
The beach scene was just SW of the baseball field location on the Columbia River (thanks to Craig).
The treetop scene was filmed near an "S"-shaped stretch of Highway 14 east of Washougal, WA. This is not far from the baseball field location (thanks to Craig).
The baseball scene was filmed on private land off of Washington 14, near Prindle, WA. Multnomah Falls in Oregon can be seen in the background of the scene (thanks to Craig for helping pinpoint the spot on the map). This land is owned by the University of Oregon and is known as "The Shire: The John Yeon Preserve for Landscape Studies." This year, several summer tours are being offered by the University to allow the general public access to this special place. Visit their website for more info (thanks to Lisa).
This is an identical replica to the actual sign at the entrance to Forks, WA on Highway 101. However, this wasn't shot there.
The hotel in Phoenix is actually the Hyatt Valencia at 24500 Town Center Drive in Valencia, CA.
Bella's old ballet studio where Edward & James have a showdown is the Yale Union Laundry Building at 800 SE 10th Avenue, Portland, OR. This is also where the flashback scene of Edward in the hostpital was filmed (thanks to Lisa).
The prom was located at the View Point Inn at 40301 East Larch Mountain Road outside Corbett, OR.
