2022-2023 Birthday Bulletin Board
This chairperson is asked to arrange a school-wide collection of photos in September and then each month.
The Scholastic Book Sale generates great excitement and gifting opportunities during the holiday season. But more importantly, by utilizing the Scholastic brand, we are provided with great savings on technology such as Smart Boards and digital microscopes, all of which are used in our children's classrooms. This chairperson will set up, organize and run this week long event. All the tools needed are provided by our friends at the Scholastic Company.
The always popular night out with friends. Don't know how to play? Won't take but a minute to learn.
Clean out your closets and play rooms, all while raising money for your child's school programs. This chairperson will work with the PSO and school calendar to set up 1 to 2 clothing drives (Spring and fall). You will also be responsible for reminding families to retrieve lost and found items then clear out and donate the remaining items during the clothing drive.
We celebrate this author and others with a weeklong calendar of literary themed activities. You and your committee will organize booking guest readers and developing an incentive program in line with our Read-A-Thon. You will also be dressing up as Thing 1 and Thing 2
Each year we team up with George School and choose a well deserved local family to support. All funds raised from this event are generously donated to the local family in need. The chairperson of this event coordinates the even with George School PSO.
2022-2023 School Supply Kit Sale
This chairperson will work with "School Kidz" representative to update our teachers supply list and create a schedule to place online orders that will arrive ready to distribute prior to the first day of school. Volunteers will take a day in August so parents can stop by and retrieve their children's school supplies.

Our Gala is the most important fundraiser of the year to replenish PSO funds, which allow for more exciting events and purchasing of much needed supplies for the year ahead. A chance to celebrate all our school and town has to offer. A multitude of volunteers are needed on several committees to provide assistance in the creation of the program, solicit donations and prizes, as well as wrapping baskets and setting up decor the day of the event.
2022-2023 Staff Appreciation Week
Our teachers and staff put in an abundance of time and effort to educate our children. In appreciation for all they do for our kids, the chairperson(s) and committee members create a weeklong menu of daily gestures of thanks that include but are not limited to - breakfast, luncheon, gifts, daily raffles and fun morning announcements applauding their many extracurricular talents and accomplishments.
An annual fundraiser offered to our Washington School families. A children's shopping sale is also coordinated to provide children the opportunity to shop for Mother's Day plants. The chairperson and committee will negotiate the plant selection pricing and deliveries and schedule volunteers for sale and pick up days.
A fun and exciting day for the entire school. The chairperson will work closely with our Physical Education teacher to choose a date/rain date, develop the schedule of events, book a DJ, and water bottle donation collection.
Its time to celebrate the end of the school year. Coordinate dates, times, pizza, drinks and music/entertainment.
