A tragic head-on collision on May 5, 1984 claimed the lives of two Washingtonians and injured two others. Occurring just east of Grange Road on McCluggage Road, brothers Buster and Robert Marshall were killed when they tried to pass traffic in their lane and collided head-on with a vehicle driven by Scott Underwood with his passenger Jody McCoy.
