What is a Soil and Water Conservation District?
A Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) is a governmental body created by state law for the express purpose of promoting the protection & conservation of the county's & the state's soil, water, & related natural resources.
Each SWCD is governed by a five member board of directors. SWCD directors are elected by owners & occupiers of land in the district. The board meets regularly to formulate & administer a program of work that is tailored specifically to the conservation & protection of the district's natural resources.
OPERATING HOURS:
8am–2pm, Monday through Friday
Appointments are highly encouraged due to the nature of staff traveling out of office frequently.

Washington County SWCD has Native Seed Packets for sale in the office.
We have Quail and Upland Game Alliance (QUGA) seed packets for 20 and cover 50ft by 50ft plots.
