A warung is a small, family-owned business in Indonesia, typically a modest shop or café that plays a vital role in local culture and daily life.
English House Warung is located in a small alley inside my home in the village, offering an affordable and welcoming space for locals. Unlike conventional warungs, we provide free WiFi, making it a comfortable place for customers to relax while enjoying their meals. Since I don’t pay rent for a separate building, I can keep my prices low, attracting many loyal customers who appreciate the great value.
I serve a variety of items, from soft drinks, snacks, and ice cream to satisfying meals like noodles, eggs, omelets, spaghetti, and pasta. With its friendly atmosphere and budget-friendly menu, my warung has become a popular gathering place for local students.
Most of my customers are students attending English House Bali, an English course owned by my wife. Soon, my warung will become a one-stop shop for foreign students, as I am opening a guesthouse next month to accommodate those studying at English House Bali.
