Above: Battleship Texas (BB-35) is moored at the Gulf Copper Shipyard in Galveston Texas.
Since being raised from the dry dock in March 2024, the Battleship Texas has been docked at the Gulf Copper Shipyard and Repair, directly opposite the Pier 21 complex (the would-be home of the Texas that also houses the Tall Ship Elissa and the Oil Rig Ocean Star) and adjacent to the Galveston Naval Museum. Currently, the Battlewagon is undergoing a series of repairs with the interior of the ship, the addition of the anti-aircraft guns, and the high superstructure. She is expected to open in Early to Late 2027.
