Summer Tournaments

It is very important to the development of a young player to play in tournaments throughout the summer.  Practice is very important but it never quite simulates the competitive pressure that one faces when playing in tournaments.  Make sure to check out the TOURNAMENTS section or click the links below and explore to see what tournaments are coming up:

Summer Challenges:

3 ways to communicate challenges before you  communicate with Coach Hobbs.  First, text your opponent. If they don't respond, make a phone call.  All challenges that have been accepted between two players, must have a text confirmation that includes, opponent, date, time, and location.  We will have alternating EVEN and ODD weeks.  On EVEN weeks the even numbered players can challenge the person above them.   On ODD weeks, the odd numbered players can challenge the person above them.

Out of town play around:

If you are out of town long enough to prevent a challenge match  (or are injured / sick) we will allow players to play around you.  You could drop as many as two spots on the ladder, but no more than two.

If you have already given Coach Hobbs your out of town dates then you do not need proof of being out of town. Make sure to fill out the Summer Vacay google form so Coach Hobbs will know who is out of town during the summer challenges. (Form was sent on SportsYou).

Injury or sickness:

If you become injured and can not play a challenge you must text proof to Coach Hobbs.  Doctors notes will hold your spot.  Parent text only will drop you one spot only per sickness or injury.

Win 6-2, 6-2 done with You.

If you beat someone 6-2, 6-2 ( or worse ) twice then that person can not challenge you again.

We have played several challenge matches at the end of school so your summer goal is to simply try to play as many  challenges as you can.

The main goal of the summer is to:
