MISSION:  

A long standing motto of Freemasonry is "Making Good Men Better."  While it is not a Mission Statement, it is as close to it as anything known.

 An inviting challenge to prospects is "Be more than a man.  Be a Mason."  

Every year in cities and towns all around the globe thousands of men join the ranks of Freemasonry. Men of honor and integrity. Of charity and obligation. Each with a vow to be the best they can be.  To be more than just a man. To be a Mason.

Before there was public education, there was the masonic practice of teaching.  Before there were colleges, universities, and construction trades' apprenticeships, there was the masonic traditions of educating, mentoring, and making good men better.  Before there was licensing for levels of proficiency, there were masonic steps.  Before there was public assistance for the the unfortunate and for widows & orphans, there was the benevolence and brotherhood of the masons.  Where these modern institutions may leave work undone, still, there are the masons.
