#1 Takeaway: I huge takeaway from this class I had was over SAMR (Integrating technology). I had no idea how specific things needed to be when lesson planning with technology. There are multiple ways I can integrate technology in my lessons in educational and fun ways. I now have a document full of resources for my lesson plan that I wouldn't have had before.
#2 Takeaway: Another take way I have from this class is how I need to stay updated on not only academic affairs' but when it comes technology privacy laws. This is something that I had never thought of before. Just these past few weeks laws have changed in regards to what we can and can not have children's doing in the classroom. It is so important that we aren't subjecting our students to technology that will take their information and sell it or put their names at risk and change their digital foot prints. I will from now on always do research on my tech tool to ensure their safety. I really hadn't thought of this until this class and it is very important.
#3 Takeaway: Personalized Learning. This was very interesting to me! I will be taking everything I learned about using data and students academic needs into account when doing my plans. This is the first time I was introduced too multi-group learning on such a large scale. A podcast I listened too had such good learning groups and enrichment and I want to do these things in my classroom too. I learned that it may be hard at first but you do get the hang of it. Having enrichment for the kids that need it is just as important had remediation.
