Warm Guardian is a daily safety check-in application designed to help family members stay connected. The app allows a user (the Sender) to confirm their safety with a single daily tap, which notifies designated family members (the Guardians).

This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when you use Warm Guardian.
Warm Guardian collects limited information that you voluntarily provide:
First name (used for personalization)
User role (Sender or Guardian)
The app collects limited technical data required to operate the service:
Firebase Anonymous Authentication UID
A randomly generated identifier that does not contain personal identity information.
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) Token
Used only to deliver check-in notifications.
Check-in timestamps
The time you tap to confirm your safety.
Check-in streak data
Used to show consecutive safety check-ins.
Vacation mode status
Warm Guardian does not collect:
Phone numbers
Email addresses
GPS location or precise location data
Contacts or address book information
Photos, videos, or media files
Biometric information
Financial or payment information
Information collected by Warm Guardian is used solely to operate and improve the app’s functionality, including:
Sending safety check-in notifications to Guardians
Sending gentle reminders when a check-in is missed
Displaying safety streaks and check-in status
Allowing Guardians to send supportive responses
Pausing notifications when Vacation Mode is enabled
Warm Guardian does not sell, rent, or trade user data.
Warm Guardian does not display advertising and does not use personal data for marketing.
Warm Guardian uses Google Firebase services to operate the app:
Firebase Authentication (anonymous sign-in)
Cloud Firestore (secure cloud database)
Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications)
Firebase Hosting (invite link hosting)
Firebase services are provided by Google and governed by Google's Privacy Policy:

Warm Guardian does not use:
Firebase Analytics
Firebase Crashlytics
AdMob
Third-party advertising SDKs
User data is stored securely on Google Firebase servers.
Firebase infrastructure follows industry standards such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
Security measures include:
Encrypted data transmission using HTTPS
Controlled database access through security rules
Anonymous authentication identifiers
The app stores only minimal information required for functionality.
User data is retained only while the user actively uses the app.
Data may be deleted under the following circumstances:
When a user deletes their account
When a Guardian leaves a safety circle
When a user requests deletion
Once deleted, the data is permanently removed from the database.
Warm Guardian is intended for users 18 years of age or older.
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can remove the data.
