1. Policy Introduction and Applicability
Welcome to the mobile application "Wareo" (hereinafter referred to as "the App"), independently developed and provided by Wareo (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", or "our"). The App is available for download and installation via the Google Play Store.
This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") aims to clearly inform you of how we collect, process, store, and disclose your personal and non-personal information during your access, download, installation, and use of the App. Please note: the core functionalities of the App operate locally. All data is stored only on your device and is not uploaded to our servers or any third-party servers.
Before using the App, you should carefully read and fully understand all terms of this Policy to ensure you are aware of how your information is processed and your rights. By clicking the "Agree" button or continuing to use the App (including opening it after installation), you indicate that you have fully understood and agreed to our processing of your relevant information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, please immediately stop downloading, installing, and using the App to avoid any information processing activities.
2. Scope of Information We Collect
Given the core feature of the App—"local functionality only, no data uploads"—we strictly adhere to the principle of "minimal necessity" in collecting information. All collected information is retained only on your device and is not transmitted or stored externally. Details are as follows:
2.1 Personal Information (Stored Locally Only)
Personal information refers to information that can identify a specific natural person, either alone or in combination with other information. We only collect the following necessary personal information when you actively use specific features of the App. All such information is used solely to support local functionalities and is stored entirely on your device:
●Local Account Information (Optional): If you need to use the App’s "Local Data Management" feature (e.g., categorizing office item records or syncing data across devices locally), you may choose to create a local account. This requires providing an email address (for account verification), a custom username, and a password. The password is encrypted using the SHA-256 hashing algorithm and stored locally on your device. We cannot access, view, or decrypt your original password. If you do not need account features, you can directly use the App’s basic local functionalities (e.g., office item records on a single device) without providing the above information.
●Actively Entered Local Data: When using the App’s core features (e.g., office item management), you need to actively enter relevant data (e.g., brand, color, purchase price, size, procurement time, department of use, etc.). Such data is used solely to support the normal operation of the App’s local functionalities (e.g., generating item lists, calculating inventory value) and is stored entirely on your device. We do not obtain this data in any form (including background scraping or cloud synchronization).
2.2 Non-Personal Information (Analyzed Locally Only)
Non-personal information refers to anonymous data that cannot identify a specific natural person, either alone or in combination with other information. We only collect and analyze the following non-personal information locally on your device to optimize the App’s local functionality experience. No data uploads, sharing, or external interactions are involved:
●Local Usage Behavior Data: The App automatically records usage behavior locally on your device, including feature usage frequency (e.g., clicks on the "Add Item" feature), local session duration (time from opening to closing the App), and error logs (if the App encounters local failures, only recording error codes, triggering scenarios, and basic device parameters, without any personal identifiers). Such data is used only to optimize the local functionality experience on your device (e.g., adjusting high-frequency features to more prominent positions or fixing issues specific to device models). It is not uploaded to any server nor used to identify your personal identity.
●Local Technical Tool Data: The App uses lightweight technical tools locally on your device (e.g., local Cookie simulation, device caching) to record your local usage preferences (e.g., default item categories, commonly used list sorting methods, interface brightness settings). Data generated by these tools is stored entirely on your device. You can delete it autonomously via the device’s system settings ("App Management - Clear Data") or the App’s built-in "Clear Local Cache" option. Deletion only affects your usage preference settings and does not impact core functionalities or involve any external data interactions.
3. Purposes and Methods of Information Use
Given the App’s "local functionality first, no data uploads" nature, we use the information stored locally on your device only for the following purposes. All usage occurs locally on your device and does not involve external data processing:
●Supporting Local Functionality: Using personally identifiable information you actively enter (e.g., office item data, local account information) to implement the App’s core features, such as generating "expiration reminders" based on item procurement dates or verifying your device usage permissions via local account information. All functional logic is completed locally on your device without relying on external servers.
●Optimizing Local User Experience: Based on locally collected non-personal information (e.g., usage behavior data, basic device parameters), adjusting functionality performance locally on your device, such as optimizing feature entry layouts based on usage frequency, adapting interface display ratios for your device model, or fixing local issues via error logs to improve App fluency and compatibility.
●Addressing Local Technical Issues: If your device encounters App malfunctions locally (e.g., features failing to open, data not saving), locally stored error logs can help you troubleshoot independently (or serve as reference information if you proactively contact us). We do not actively access or view your local error logs and only provide technical guidance if you voluntarily share relevant log screenshots via email.
●Complying with Local Legal Requirements: If local laws and regulations in your region impose specific requirements on locally stored personal information (e.g., minor information protection, data retention period limits), we assist compliance solely through the App’s local functionality settings (e.g., a "Minor Usage Mode" local toggle or "Local Data Auto-Cleanup" option), without any external legal data interactions or reporting.
4. Legal Basis for Information Processing
We process relevant information locally on your device only under legitimate legal bases, including:
●Contract Performance Necessity: If you choose to use the App’s local account features or specific services (e.g., local data synchronization, list exports), we process relevant information locally on your device (e.g., account verification, data storage) to fulfill the service contract formed between you and us based on your use of the App, ensuring you can normally use the agreed local functionalities.
●Your Explicit Consent: For information you actively provide (e.g., office item data, local account information) and the use of local technical tools (e.g., local Cookie simulation), processing is based on your explicit consent. You may withdraw consent by "not providing information and discontinuing use of corresponding features" or "clearing local data." Withdrawal only affects related functionalities and does not impact other basic local features.
●Safeguarding Legitimate Interests: Collecting basic device parameters and error logs locally on your device is to ensure the App’s local operational security (e.g., preventing local functionality crashes, adapting to device system updates, fixing compatibility issues). This falls within our legitimate interests in providing qualified services and does not infringe upon your legal rights (e.g., privacy rights, data control rights).
●Legal Obligation Compliance: If local laws and regulations require necessary management of locally stored personal information (e.g., data retention periods, minor information protection), we assist compliance through the App’s local functionality settings (e.g., "Local Data Auto-Cleanup" option), without any external data processing or reporting.
If you object to local information processing based on "legitimate interests," you may contact us via the methods in Section 13 of this Policy. We will assist you in adjusting the App’s local settings to meet your needs (e.g., guiding you to disable collection of specific non-personal information).
5. Information Sharing, Disclosure, and Transfer
Given the App’s core feature of "no data uploads, local storage only," we do not sell, rent, or share any information stored locally on your device (including personal and non-personal information) with any third parties. Nor do we disclose or transfer such information externally in any form. Specific details include:
●No Third-Party Service Provider Sharing: All App functionalities are implemented through local code and do not rely on any third-party service providers (e.g., cloud analysis tools, external data interfaces, third-party storage services). Thus, no data sharing with third-party service providers occurs (including no integration with or data interaction with tools like Google Firebase or Google Analytics).
●No Disclosure Beyond Legal Requirements: Unless required by legally effective judicial documents from your region (e.g., court orders, subpoenas) that explicitly demand access to information stored locally on your device, we will only guide you on how to handle local data per legal requirements (as we cannot access your local data and cannot directly provide it to any authority). We will not proactively disclose, assist in obtaining, or transmit your local information.
●No data transfer in business transfer: If a company merger, acquisition, business restructuring or asset sale occurs in the future, since all user data of this application is stored locally on the user's personal device, we do not hold any user data, and therefore there will be no "data transfer as a business asset"; the entity that subsequently undertakes the services of this application must still strictly adhere to the principle of "no data upload, only local storage" in this policy, and may not change the data processing method. In addition, it must clearly inform users of the continuity of data processing rules within the application.
●Full User Control Over Local Data: You have complete control over locally stored information. You may delete all local information autonomously via device system settings (e.g., "Settings - Apps - Wareo - Storage - Clear Data") or the App’s built-in features (e.g., "Local Data Management - Delete All Records"). Deletion takes effect immediately, and we cannot intervene, prevent, or recover deleted local data.
6. Information Security Safeguards
Although all App data is stored locally on your device, we implement multiple technical and administrative measures to safeguard your local data, reducing risks of local data leakage, loss, or unauthorized access:
●Local Data Encryption: Personally identifiable information stored locally on your device (e.g., local account passwords, sensitive office item data) is encrypted using the AES-256 encryption algorithm. Even if your device is physically accessed or compromised, encrypted data cannot be read without passing the App’s local verification (e.g., account password verification, device fingerprint matching).
●Local Access Control: The App supports setting local access passwords or biometric verification (e.g., fingerprint recognition, facial recognition, subject to device support and your active enablement). Only you can access locally stored information after verification, preventing unauthorized parties from viewing, modifying, or deleting App data on your device.
●Local Data Backup and Recovery: The App provides local data backup functionality (supporting data export to your device’s local storage folder in CSV or Excel format). You may autonomously choose backup frequency and paths. If you change devices or reinstall the App, you can restore data offline via local backup files. All backup and recovery processes occur between your devices without any network transmission or external storage.
●Security Vulnerability Monitoring and Fixes: We regularly conduct security checks on the App’s local functionalities to identify vulnerabilities that may affect local data security (e.g., local encryption algorithm flaws, access control vulnerabilities). If security issues are found, we will promptly push App updates via the Google Play Store to fix vulnerabilities and optimize local security mechanisms. If you identify any security risks, please inform us via the contact methods in Section 13 of this Policy. We will respond within 48 hours and provide solutions.
Special Reminder: Your device’s own security status (e.g., whether it is rooted, has malware installed, or has a lock screen password enabled) may impact local data security. We recommend keeping your device system updated, enabling device lock screen passwords and security features, and avoiding lending your device to others to collectively safeguard local data.
7. Your Information Rights and How to Exercise Them
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and relevant laws in your region, you have full rights over personally identifiable information stored locally on your device. You may exercise these rights autonomously without relying on our review:
●Right to Access: You may view all personally identifiable information stored locally in the App at any time (e.g., local account details, complete office item records) via "My - Local Data Management." All access occurs locally on your device without requiring application to us.
●Right to Rectification: If you find errors in locally stored personal information (e.g., incorrect office item prices, misspelled account emails), you can directly edit and correct them within the App—e.g., modifying erroneous data on the "Item Details" page or updating email addresses in "Account Settings." Corrections are stored locally on your device in real time without our review.
●Right to Deletion: You may delete local personal information via two methods: ① Targeted Deletion: Delete specific data within the App (e.g., individual office item records, local account information); ② Bulk Deletion: Clear all App local data via device system settings ("Settings - Apps - Wareo - Storage - Clear Data"). Note: Bulk deletion will remove all locally stored information (including accounts, item records, and usage preferences) and cannot be undone. We recommend backing up important data via the App’s "Local Backup" feature before deletion.
●Right to Data Portability: You may use the App’s "Local Data Export" feature to export personal information in a structured, machine-readable format (e.g., CSV, Excel files) to your device’s local storage folder. Exported data can be used autonomously by you for other compliant purposes (e.g., importing into office software for statistical analysis). We do not restrict or interfere with your use of exported data.
●Right to Withdraw Consent: If you previously consented to providing certain information (e.g., creating a local account, entering office item data), you may withdraw consent by "deleting the corresponding information + discontinuing use of related features"—e.g., deleting local account information and stopping use of the "Data Sync" feature. Withdrawing consent for account information collection does not affect other App features like "Basic Item Records."
If you encounter technical issues exercising these rights (e.g., local data export failure, deletion malfunction), you may email [support@yenalive.com] with the subject line "Local Data Rights Exercise Assistance" and include your device model, operating system version, and specific issue. We will provide technical guidance within 3 business days (we cannot directly operate your local device or access your local data).
8. International Data Transfers
Due to the core feature of this app, "no data is uploaded, and all information is stored locally on your device," there is no international transfer of personal information. All data remains in the region where the device you use this app is located, and no data is transferred across borders when you travel to other countries or regions. When using this app abroad, you can still access and use your local data normally, without worrying about data transfer issues.
If your region (such as the EU/UK) has specific requirements for cross-border data transfer, since this app does not upload or transfer any data externally, it is not subject to relevant cross-border data transfer compliance requirements (such as adequacy assessments and standard contractual clauses under GDPR).
9. Data Retention Period
Since all App data is stored locally on your device, the data retention period is entirely at your discretion. We do not set any mandatory retention or automatic deletion periods. Specific rules are as follows:
●If you continue using the App and do not actively delete local data, relevant information will remain on your device until you delete it via App features or device system settings.
●If you uninstall the App without backing up local data, the device system will handle local data per its default rules (e.g., some systems automatically clear app data upon uninstallation). If you backed up data via the App’s "Local Backup" feature before uninstalling, you can restore data from the backup file after reinstalling the App.
●Only if local laws and regulations explicitly require "specific local data retention periods" (e.g., some regions require office item records to be retained for at least 1 year), the App will provide a "Local Data Auto-Cleanup" feature. You may choose to enable this feature and set cleanup cycles (e.g., "automatically delete expired records after 1 year"). Once enabled, data cleanup will occur locally per your settings.
10. Children’s Privacy Protection
The App is primarily intended for office use and is not directed at children under 13. We do not actively collect any personal information from children. If you are a guardian and discover that a child has used the App without permission and entered personal information (e.g., the child’s identity information, family contact details), you may address this as follows:
●Directly on the child’s device, use the App’s "Local Data Management - Delete All Records" feature or the device system’s "Clear App Data" feature to delete all relevant local data.
●If technical issues arise, email [support@yenalive.com] with the subject line "Children’s Local Data Cleanup Assistance" and provide your guardian identity proof (e.g., household register photo) and device information (model, OS version). We will provide technical guidance for local data cleanup within 3 business days (we cannot directly access or delete the child’s local data).
If we detect potential child App usage through user feedback or local functionality checks (only detecting device usage scenarios, not collecting personal information), we will display a "Not for Child Use" prompt within the App, reminding guardians to address relevant local data. We will not engage in any data collection or reporting.
11. Policy Changes and Notifications
We may revise this Policy due to legal updates, local App functionality optimizations (e.g., adding new local backup formats, adjusting security encryption algorithms), or user demand changes. All revisions will follow the principle of "not harming user legal rights and interests." The change process is as follows:
●Change Notification: If significant changes occur (e.g., adjustments to local data processing methods, new local features involving information collection), we will notify you via: ① Posting a policy change announcement on the App’s Google Play Store page, outlining changes and effective dates; ② Displaying a policy change prompt window when you next open the App (you must read and click "Agree" to continue using the App).
●Change Effectiveness: Revised privacy policies take effect on the date specified in the notification. If you continue using the App after the policy takes effect, you are deemed to have accepted the revised policy. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the App and delete all local data.
