Meet Our Team

The Warehouse Theatre has built a first-class team of theatre professionals, educators, and, quite frankly, really good humans. Our team will love, root for, encourage, push, and guide your kids with loving kindness and honesty. We are passionate about helping young actors build their confidence, expand their theatre skillset, find their light on stage, and grow into the best person and actor they can be.

Callison Hopkins

Founder & Artistic Director

Meet Callison Hopkins – fearless founder and artistic director of The Warehouse Theatre! Those who know her, love her.

With a bachelor's degree in English education, a master's degree in education, and as a certified theatre educator, Callison has been teaching since 2014. And she doesn't know life without theatre.

Since she was in preschool, Callison has participated in school and university productions. Eventually, she became an award-winning professional director and assistant director in local schools and community theatres and began working as a private acting coach.

Callison is excited to open The Warehouse Theatre. "When I was younger, it was difficult to find my place in a small theatre scene full of big musicals," she shared. "It felt like the same people got the roles over and over and there wasn't room for me. I just want everyone to know, there is a place for you in theatre. And everyone's role, from actor to stage manager to choreographer to theatre tech, is essential."

If you've ever worked with Callison, you have felt the truth to her words.

Callison is dedicated to creating an undeniable atmosphere of empathy, love, and unity with her team at The Warehouse, and she looks forward to working people all across Desoto County and beyond!

Kimberly White

Director of Community Engagement

We are so super excited to announce Kimberly White as the Director for Community Engagement for The Warehouse Theatre!

In high school, throughout college, and now as an adult (and mom to four kiddos), Kim has always loved being a part of theatre in some capacity. "There is nothing like preparing for an audition and feeling the satisfaction of learning new choreography and developing a character. There is incredible excitement as a role comes alive on stage in front of friends and family. It's an opportunity to entertain, create, and display God-given gifts, whether that be onstage or backstage," she says.

Kim has a bachelor's and master's degree in education and attended Mississippi State University and Union University. She grew up in Hernando, but left for San Diego in 2007 as her husband Kenny pursued and achieved his dream of becoming a U.S. Navy SEAL.

Kenny, Kim, and their family moved back to Mississippi from San Diego at the end of 2019 and found that theatre was a place to connect and develop relationships. She has the honor of being the Producer at DeSoto Christian Academy and is overjoyed to come on board at The Warehouse.

“As a mother to four uniquely-gifted children who are all interested in the world of theatre, it is important for them to find a 'home' – a place where they are encouraged and stretched. A place where they are supported and able to form life-long friendships," Kim says. "I am so honored and thrilled to come on board The Warehouse Theatre team knowing that my children will receive all of these. We have such an incredible team with the same heart, passion, and vision."
