Algebra 1 Semester 2

Announcement #4 - April 3rd

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to let you all know that starting Monday, April 6th we will be transitioning to Microsoft Teams. Please go there and log into our class to view a message regarding upcoming content that I just posted. If you have any questions feel free to email me.

Announcement #3 - March 23rd

Hey students,

First off, I just wanted to say great job to those of you that have been submitting your work. I am very impressed that you guys are trucking away through this difficult time. I hope that you will also take time for yourselves and make sure you stay healthy. There are no due dates; this material is for enrichment purposes and to help keep your math skills up, so if you need a break, please take it. I also wanted to mention that from here on out the material posted will look different that what you saw previously. We've been informed that we are not allowed to have any new material up on websites in order to be in line with state rules, so I will be posting materials for skills that you already have. I'm sorry if this upsets you as you will be losing out on some educational opportunities to help you progress as we move forward in the next weeks and months, but at this time I don't have a say in the matter.

Announcement #2

Hey students,

I just wanted to be very clear about the dates down below. These are NOT due dates. These are an estimation of the amount of time I think it would take you to complete these enrichment activities. I also used them to help me figure out if I had posted a sufficient amount of activities to get us to our current April 7th return date.

As a different option, you may choose to complete any of the alternative enrichment activities that I've posted at the bottom of this page.

Announcement #1

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to say great job for those of you that have been sending in your work. I know these are uncertain times, but I just wanted to encourage you to keep it up and to continue with this enrichment work. I think in the long run it will be helpful, and I'm impressed with all of your work ethics! Some of the content that I will be adding soon will be increasing in difficulty. I am hoping that the videos I include will be helpful, but I am also happy to try to explain some of the steps or concepts over email. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions, or if there are some questions that you'd like me to particularly check over please ask.

As a side note, some students were asking about how to show me they had watched the Khan Academy videos. When you watch them or do the activities, on the left navigation panel you get a little check mark showing you've completed it. After completing all the videos/activities I post you can simply take a screen shot and paste it into a program like Paint to save it, then attach that to an email. Or you can just take a picture of your screen with your phone and email that.

Also, it would be helpful for me if you title your emails to me with the date of the work completed (ie. for the first two days, you could include "mar 17-18 work" somewhere in your email). This will help me keep your work organized and if you have any questions it will help me more quickly identify what questions they are. Thanks!

Enrichment Activities - March 17 - April 6

You could choose to complete one of these per day and send your work to me at agreen@ware.k12.ma.us

Alternate Enrichment Activities

Here are some other worksheets you could choose to work on in place of the above selection (again, you could submit 1 per day at most). These worksheets are more relevant and challenging and are based on the more advanced skills that we already covered in this class.
