Wareham Connects is an organization made up of community members and resource providers working together to strategically prevent underage substance misuse. Wareham Connects was established in January 2022. It is latest community and coalition to join the Plymouth Area Prevention Collaborative.
The mission of Middleboro Matters is to provide resources, educate, empower, and strategically prevent and reduce substance misuse among youth and adults in our community.
Prevention coordinators of the MassCall3 grant coordinate coalition meetings, regional meetings, key stakeholder interviews, community and youth initiatives, and focus groups to assess challenges, develop a logic model, and select appropriate strategies based on community feedback.
Community Coalitions | School Subcommittees | Youth Coalitions | 12 Sector Reps
Representatives from all 12 sectors (youth, parents, businesses, media, schools, youth-serving organizations, law enforcement, religion organizations, civic/volunteer groups, healthcare professionals, state/local agencies) sit on the collaborative's coalition. These individuals meet on a monthly basis to brainstorm, plan, and discuss community outreach, initiatives, and areas of focus.
