Warcraft 3 has always been loved by everyone for the same reason, because of the amazing Anime custom maps on Battle.net, like Fight of Characters, Dragon Ball Tribute, Naruto Shippuden Ninpou, Anime Girls Defense, High School RP, Legend of the Dragon etc, the character models and sound effects of the anime characters from hundreds of franchises had made Warcraft one of the biggest anime crossovers and the best strategy game of all time.

But a while ago the services like MakeMeHost were not working anymore and something happened to hosting bots in general and it felt like a massive abandonment of the game, and then Reforged came which not only feels less active and alive but it even made the classic to be unavailable altogether, even though some of the anime maps were transfered over, they do not feel the same here and also there doesn't even seem to be a way to see who hosts and what like in the classic with MakeMeHost, without counting the first party hosts.

Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.

While Blizzard never released any development tools for Warcraft besides the unit stats editor, a certain BJ Pollard reverse-engineered the map format and in 1995 wrote and made public an editor that allowed to create user maps for the game. These would be loaded a simple saved game files and distributed as such.

Since Malwarebytes Anti-Malware blocks OOCities for some reason (and people complained here), I changed the link to Kenny Chong's page to the Wayback Machine copy. All Warcraft and Warcraft 2 maps from that site are downloadable via the WM.

To sum up, I could say that despite the difficulty of the exercise, the result is satisfactory. Competitive maps are very complex to designate and it is an excellent level design training.

I've been playing a bit of Warcraft 3 recently, mostly because there's enough players now that custom maps which aren't DoTA actually get players. I have one which I was looking forward to playing again, but unfortunately in the new Reforged client, it doesn't work.

It is important to note that most commonly used Tournament maps have a 2-letter abbreviation used by players when listing or discussing maps (e.g. AI for Ancient Isles, AZ for Amazonia, EI for Echo Isles, etc).

Starcraft 1.5: Fusion is a series of totally converted Warcraft III custom maps designed to feel and play exactly the same as Starcraft. The project currently has single player and multiplayer maps designed and based on the original and newest Starcraft games.

How are we all going? Well its been like 2 years since I did any work on my Starcraft maps project and that 2 year holiday break from making maps, I have been overseas and started working full time hours have enjoyed every minute of it.

As most of you know or should remember me saying on various sites that my maps project was completely lost in a graphics card failure which I stupidly formatted my main hard drive with everything I had worked on in the project, gone in seconds and the overwhelming headache of trying to resurrect the project from stretch was too much for me to deal with and so I basically left the maps in as they were in an unfinished state.

So fast forward to a week or so ago and while I was searching through so old files on my secondary hard drive (Which i used as a backup), What do you know, I found an unopened version of the Neo Lost Temple map which I could now edit and resurrect my maps project:). I have had a little play with the old maps just to see how well it fairs and there is plenty of work to be done but I am willing to try and improve the map further and I have already begun editing the old map and I have a few new ideas I would like to try out in the new map versions to make the maps more balanced and more fun to play.

I am lucky that since I've been away, a couple of skilled modellers have made some brilliant new Starcraft 2 models and skins for new units I will be adding to the maps project. The first one Ill be showcasing for this news article is the Terran Marauder model and skin created by Fingolfin, and it is an amazing model indeed. The model comes complete with a full Starcraft 2 animation set and a highly detailed skin which I can't wait to see in game.

I hope this news has made most of you all very happy and I am very excited to see what all these new additions and changes will create for the project. I would love to hear comments from as many people as possible about if they are still playing my maps and give me positive feedback to drive me to complete the new maps as soon as I can.

Apple buddy, Im very glad to hear that. I will not have a huge amount of time to work on the maps this time around though, as im extremely busy outside of the project but ill do what I can when I can.

I have been notified of the amazing work being done on that project and I have watched their videos and It sorta makes me feel my maps are nowhere near as good as them. But I can only do what Im capable of doing and I am trying to make the best maps I can for you guys.

The maps themselves are of incredible quality. Reyes transformed highways into roads, rendering cities and towns as settlements to be visited across the World of Warcraft map. Major cities are represented by unique icons indicating iconic landmarks found within them. He even went so far as to place actual flight points across the map located where actual airports can be found in the real world.

Reyes is not the only World of Warcraft cartographer working on big mapping projects. ConservationOfWumbo, also known as EthanolMaps, is currently working on a massive project to render all 50 of the United States of America in the World of Warcraft style. Several other World of Warcraft fans have also made maps of Canadian provinces, various countries in Europe, and all of Australia. If Reyes teams up with all of these other artists, perhaps players will one day have a World of Warcraft map of the entire planet.

Many authors protect their maps. A "protection" is basically making the file malformed, so it is still readby the game, but MPQ viewers (including MPQEditor) either crash or are unable to open such map. If you encountersuch map and MPQEditor is unable to open it, send me the map.

We do not allow add-ons or expansions for Diablo. You may make and distribute StarCraft and Warcraft maps and campaigns that you have created yourself, so long as it is for personal, non- commercial purposes.
