The library is located in The West African Research Center (WARC) in Fann Résidence (Dakar - Senegal). We provide a quiet and very suitable environment for scientific research and is open to students, researchers, professors and freelancers of different nationalities, regardless of their institution of affiliation.
It is composed of three rooms: a reception and two reading rooms.
The reception area serves not only as an office for the two librarians but also as a reception area for visitors. Registration processing, patron assistance, cataloging, and book circulation are also done in this room. The two reading rooms contain shelves, study tables, and five computers for library patrons. The library is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
The WARC library was named after the late Dr. Mouhamed Moustapha Kane. It represents one of the original departmental goals for the center. It was opened on February the 7th, 1998 by the Faculty of Arts's Dean, Mr. Oumar Kane in the presence of the late Moustapha Kane's family.
