Inspired by the life of Jack Dalton, a 26-year-old ski coach who wore "war paint" on race day, who died of melanoma skin cancer.
We carry Jack’s spirit forward by transforming his tradition of WARPAINT into a symbol of courage, independence, and awareness to inspire proactive care among young adults.
At age 21, parents and caregivers can no longer legally control their child’s healthcare. The big responsibility shifts to these young adults when they may be naive, lack awareness or just not know what to do when they need medical attention, even when it means life or death.
WarPaint4Jack provides young adults with tools on how to take an active role in their health care by recognizing potentially dangerous skin changes, knowing what to do if it happens, and where to find trusted resources, so their concerns don’t go ignored.
