As a side note, is there a way to add a custom ring to a range of calls? For the calls that do not come up as Restricted, I know the area code and prefix but there could be any number of phone numbers that fit under this combination. Is there a way (whether within the phone or via a third party app) to accomplish this? I have Mr. Number but that only blocks certain calls from reaching my phone. It does not provide customization.

You can put all of the contacts in your list into a group and assign the group with a ringtone, and set the default ringtone as something else. This way anyone not stored in your phone will ring with a different tone to anyone you have stored.

When using "Eset Mobile Security", at least for version 6.1.13.0-0 (currently the latest) on Android 11, on Samsung S20 - if the feature of "Call Filter" is enabled - incoming calls will make no sound, as if the phone was set to "Silent", even if if all the other phone settings are set to make you hear a sound (a valid ringtone sound file was selected, the sound volume is high enough, "do not disturb" is disabled and so on).

Give end users an option within the desktop and mobile application to disable zoom phone ringtone and just an application notification. While utilizing other meeting platforms for clients and receiving a Zoom Phone call, the ringtone will always play and interrupt the audio of the other meeting.

On facebook last month, I took an IQ test. It was advertised as a free test, so I thought it would be fun to take it and see what I got. They also, by the way, gave me some scores for a few of my friends that were on face book, so I thought it would be interesting to see how I scored in comparison.

After I saw the charge, I went online and saw that there are all kinds of sites out there with people arguing that they got scammed into signing up for a monthly ten dollar charge and that the company refused to credit their money back or stop the charges. I just rolled my eyes. I have dealt with these kinds of companies before. They trick you into signing up and then they put their office hours at weird times so that you can never call to cancel. Or they make their cancellation policy something ridiculous like having to get a notarized letter in the mail giving permission to stop the charges, which is crazy seeing how it was so incredible easy to sign up that you did it without even knowing.

Please be aware that not all the people that answer the phone for this SendMe company actually work for them, so the next time you are ripping into them and telling them that their company sux, that they are just doing a job and answering the phone and reading a script that has been provided to them and that needs to be read. They may not even like what the company is doing or may not be aware, some people are just answering phones trying to make a living to pay the bills that they have, so please be nice and take some accountability for you putting your cell phone number on some form online.

my husband just got scammed by send me mobile, so low.com, cell flirt and mm text alert. Verizon told me that they all came into being on Sep 3, 2009. I got the phone numbers for the companies and spoke to a guy that represents so low and send me mobile. He said that my husband had to put a password of theirs into the computer and he received a text explaining the charges and a confirmation text. He has no recollection of that. They had supposedly been billing Verizon since April and we just got all of it in our last bill at once. He said he would refund $120 dollars as the other money couldn't be sent to us. They're sending a check. I was afraid to give my address for the check, probably another scam. What the hell is wrong with America? Regarding the comment above, nicey nice got me a $30 refund. Step above a hole mode got me $120. Give em hell. My next calls will be to Cell Flirt and MM Text alert, then the BBB and my attorney general. Send me mobile and so low no. is 877-373-6363. MM text alert is 877-402-3687 and Cell Flirt is 888-801-6720.

its good to know that others are also going through this also because i thought i was going crazy since i got charged twice already when i didnt even order or do anything. does anyone have any other advice for stopping/refunding the charges? i called them once today and sprint just said it was my fault and they cant do anything about it.

Sprint won't be able to help you. You need to call send me mobile directly. Your sprint bill might have their number, or you can find it online. Call them and just be firm that you did not intend to sign up for their service, you have not used it, and you do not want it. I was firm about wanting the charges reversed and they sent me back a check for the amount I had already paid. I think I ended up paying for the first month maybe? But I was happy to get anything back. It took about six weeks to get a check from them, but they did actually send it. Call them directly!

I'm testing out Zoom phone service, and in the setup process, I'd like to add custom .wav files to the options that users can select from for their ringtone. I uploaded a .wav file via the vvx450's web interface, but once I add the url to the recommended Zoom provisioning server, it gets wiped from the phone. Is there a simple way to create a template that lets me include ringtones for users?

Solved after some digging.

A user on the Poly forums showed how to format .wav files to work on Poly VVX phones: -SIP-Phones/Polycom-VVX300-and-custom-ringtones/m-p/83002/highligh...

Building the provision template wasn't too hard once I found the corresponding parameter in the Poly UC documentation: -ag-6-0-0/page/r-ucs-ag-sampled-audio-file-parameters.html

After that, it was just a matter of uploading my .wav file to a publicly accessible url, one caveat being that I had to make sure the .wav file name in the url had no special characters, because it messed up the Poly phone. On Zoom's side, the provision template looks like this:

saf.2 = " "
