Yes. The option to renew appears two days before the end of the borrowing period (21 days for eBooks, audiobooks, and comics, 72 hours for movies and television, and 7 days for music). A button will appear on the title screen with the option to renew the title. At this time, you can only use the renewal feature at hoopladigital.com. Please note that a renewal is the same as a new borrow, so a renewed title will count against your monthly limit (30 per month).

Yes, to access Hoopla Digital and to stream the content over Wi-Fi, 3G and/or 4G (if it is available in your area) you must be connected to the Internet. You can download content to a mobile device for later use when you are not connected.

Widevine is a safe video player that Hoopla Digital uses via your web browser to play video content. From there, you simply need to click on Install Now and follow the on screen prompts.

No, the content is the same on both platforms. The main difference is how you access the content and on what type of device.

Each Wright Library cardholder can check out 10 titles per calendar month. On a desktop or laptop computer, go to hoopladigital.com. On a mobile device, download and install the hoopla app from your device's app store. Click or tap Sign Up (or Getting Started).


Select Wright Library and enter your 14 digit card number. Enter an email address and password to complete the sign up. If you have a library card with another library that offers hoopla and you want to take advantage of both collections, create two separate accounts using two different email addresses.


You can search or browse to find titles. Once you find something, simply click or tap Borrow. After you borrow a title the return date will appear on the title page. The option to play will also display. Borrowed content can be downloaded on mobile devices and viewed or listened to without an Internet connection. When streaming or downloading content to mobile devices, data rates do apply. We suggest the use of a Wi-Fi connection.
