I specialize in addressing critical operations challenges when making sequential decisions under uncertainty, with a recent emphasis on not-for-profit OM and pharmaceutical SCM. I also tackle complex inventory management issues from real-world challenges by incorporating data-driven approaches. In addition, my passion lies in developing technical tools for effectively addressing high-dimensional Markovian decision processes.
I am looking for self-motivated Ph.D. students with a strong mathematical background. Candidates with a bachelor or master degree in maths, statistics, physics, or computer science are welcome to contact me. Email: twang533@cityu.edu.hk
