Ride power - E-Bike Controller App
Welcome to Ride power (hereinafter referred to as "the App"). We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information. Please read this policy carefully before using the App.
The App does not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information (PII), including but not limited to names, email addresses, phone numbers, or location data.
The App communicates with e-bike controllers via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology. During this process, the App accesses the following Bluetooth-related data:
Names and identifiers of nearby Bluetooth devices
Signal strength (RSSI) of devices
Real-time operational data from the controller (such as voltage, speed, temperature, etc.)
Controller parameter settings
Important: All Bluetooth data is processed and displayed locally only and is never transmitted to any external servers.
To provide a better user experience, the App stores the following data locally on your device:
Previously connected Bluetooth device identifiers (for quick reconnection)
User-saved parameter presets (for quick import/export)
App preference settings
This data is stored only on your device and is never uploaded to any server.
The App requires the following device permissions to function properly:
Bluetooth Scan: To scan for nearby Bluetooth devices
Bluetooth Connect: To establish Bluetooth connections with the controller
Due to Android system requirements, Bluetooth scanning requires location permission. We do not use this permission to obtain or store your actual location information. This permission is solely required to meet the system's technical requirements for Bluetooth scanning. Android 12 and above, as well as iOS, do not require this permission.
All data collected is used solely for the following purposes:
Displaying the controller's real-time operational status
Configuring and adjusting controller parameters
Saving user parameter presets for quick switching
Remembering connected devices for quick reconnection
We do not share your data with any third parties. The App does not contain any advertising, analytics, or tracking services.
We take the following measures to protect your data:
All data is stored locally on your device only
Bluetooth communication uses standard BLE protocol
The App does not require an internet connection to function
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We recommend that you review this policy periodically for the latest information.
You can at any time:
Clear locally stored app data (through system settings)
Revoke the App's Bluetooth and location permissions
Uninstall the App to delete all related data
