This is Zhi Wang (王植). I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow supervised by Professor Ming Hu at Rotman School of Management at University of Toronto.
I earned my PhD in Decision Science in the Department of Information, Risk and Operations Management (IROM) at McCombs School of Business, UT Austin, during which I have been very fortunate to be advised by Professor Rui Gao in IROM at McCombs School of Business. I interned at Expedia Group in 2022 working on pricing and data simulation. Before that, I obtained my B.E. from SUTD in 2019, where I was awarded the IES Gold Medal Award for the top student in the department.
I am excited to be joining the Department of Operations and Business Analytics at Fisher College of Business, Ohio State University, as a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor starting in Fall 2026.

My research interest lies in data-driven decision-making and AI for business. I aim to bridge between OR/MS and AI to increase reliability and interpretability for better managerial decisions. From the application perspective, I am interested in revenue management and pricing such as choice models.
