Invited Talk at the 47th Japanese Society for Biomaterials Meeting
I gave my first invited talk at the 47th Japanese Society for Biomaterials (JSB) meeting in Tokyo (Nov 11).
I presented in the "Multimodal ECM" symposium, which was co-organized with the KAKENHI "Multimodal ECM" grant. My talk was titled: "Directed Morphogenesis in Pluripotent Stem Cells via Spatiotemporally Controlled Microenvironmental Signal Manipulation."

I recently attended the 29th International Conference on Miniaturized Systems for Chemistry and Life Sciences (MicroTAS 2025) in Adelaide, Australia.
During the conference (Nov 2-6), I delivered an oral presentation detailing my progress on recapitulating primitive streak morphogenesis.

I was delighted to present our work at the recent Cold Spring Harbor Asia meeting on Human Development. I had the honor of contributing with both an oral presentation and a poster covering our latest research. In addition, I had the pleasure of co-chairing a session with Sofiane Hamidi, Ph.D.
Furthermore, I am thrilled to have received the CSH Asia Fellowship Award for my poster presentation.

I had the honor of delivering an oral presentation at the 2025 International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) Annual Meeting, the largest global conference in the field. My talk, titled “Spatiotemporal Tunable Microenvironment for Next-Generation Organoids: Recapitulating Primitive Streak Formation to Notogenesis,” introduced a pioneering approach to modeling early human development through engineered stem cell systems.
In addition, I was awarded the ISSCR Zhongmei Chen Yong Award for Scientific Excellence.

While it wasn’t selected as one of the final three, I’m honored that our work on spatial cell fate control—achieved by tuning spatial stiffness using our hydrogel system—was recognized by a leading journal in developmental biology.https://doi.org/10.1242/dev.201621
