Ko wai mātou?
Who are we?
Who are we?
We are a husband and wife team who bring together our broad strengths to small projects that make a difference for whānau Māori. Bayden is our culture and strategy guru. Add Myra's research and report writing skills and comms experience, and you have a winning combo tackling all project areas.
We love our people and we want to do all we can to bring about real change and impact for Māori.
Bayden's worked in the area of Māori development for 25+ years initially in health then broadening into governance and politics. He has worked on many boards for both Māori and mainstream organisations, but what gets his blood pumping is really helping make a difference to whānau Māori.
Myra's a bit of a nerd and loves research, writing and organising. She brings attention to detail and a critical eye to projects. Growing up in Nūhaka and Te Wairoa, she shares Bayden's moemoea for an Aotearoa where whānau Māori thrive in everything we do and are.
We both graduated from Waikato University with a Bachelor of Management Studies - Myra in Marketing & International Business and Bayden in Māori Resource Management. Bayden went on to do a PG Diploma in Strategic Management.
We live in Waimārama, a coastal, rural village in Hawke's Bay where Bayden is kaikōrero on our marae and we tautoko nga hapū o Waimārama in whatever ways we can. We are both Ngāti Kahungunu and Ngāpuhi, Myra having specifically Ngāti Rakaipaaka whakapapa, and Bayden also with whakapapa to Ngāi Tahu.
