Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy describes how data is collected, used and protected when you use the Shopping List app.
1. Data collected
The app does not directly collect personally identifiable information (PII).
The information you voluntarily enter, such as:
product names;
departments;
supermarkets;
app preferences;
is stored exclusively on your device and is not transmitted to WamDev servers.
The app may also use third-party services, such as Google AdMob, which may collect technical device information in accordance with their respective privacy policies.
2. Use of data
The data entered is used solely to enable the proper functioning of the app, including:
shopping list management;
product organization;
saving preferences;
backup and restore features;
list sharing, when requested by the user.
WamDev does not use such data for profiling or marketing purposes.
3. Data sharing
Data saved in the app is not sold, shared or transferred to third parties.
The only exceptions are:
sharing the shopping list via applications chosen directly by the user (e.g. email or messaging apps);
third-party services used by the app, such as Google AdMob, exclusively for ad management.
4. Data backup
The app allows you to export backup files containing the data entered.
Backup files always remain under the user's control. WamDev has no access to these files and does not store them on its servers.
5. App permissions
The app may request certain permissions solely to provide specific features.
Camera
It can be used to photograph products or documents related to the shopping list.
Microphone
It can be used for voice input of products.
Both permissions are used only with the user's authorization and can be revoked at any time from the device settings.
6. Advertising and consent (GDPR and CCPA/CPRA)
The app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.
On first launch you can choose whether to use:
personalized ads;
non-personalized ads.
Personalized ads
If you consent to personalized ads, Google may process information such as:
device identifiers;
app usage data;
approximate location;
in order to show you more relevant ads.
For users residing in the European Economic Area, this processing is based on the consent given under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Under the CCPA/CPRA, this processing may be considered a form of "sharing" of personal information.
Non-personalized ads
If you choose non-personalized ads, ads are shown solely based on general context (e.g. device type or app content) without using data for personalization.
You can change your choice at any time from the app settings.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on the country you reside in, you may benefit from specific data protection rights.
Residents in the European Economic Area (GDPR)
You have the right to:
access your data;
request rectification;
request erasure;
restrict processing;
obtain data portability;
object to processing.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
You have the right to:
know which categories of data are processed;
request erasure;
request correction;
object to the sale or sharing of data;
not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
WamDev does not sell personal data.
Since the app does not directly collect personally identifiable information, most of these rights can be exercised through third-party service providers, such as Google AdMob and other Google services.
WamDev can provide information on how to exercise these rights but cannot modify or delete data held by third-party services.
8. Security
We adopt appropriate technical measures to protect the data in the app from unauthorized access.
Since data is stored primarily on the user's device, its protection also depends on the security measures adopted on the device itself.
9. Children's privacy
The app is not intended for users under the age of 13.
Since WamDev does not store personal data on its servers, it is unable to identify or delete any data belonging to minors.
Parents can manage any data collected by third-party services using the tools provided by the respective providers.
10. Changes to this Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically.
Any changes will be published on this page indicating the date of the last update.
