Art in the Classroom (“AIC”) is a program where parents are able to come into their child’s classroom and teach a lesson on a pre-selected artist. The PTA will provide the lesson plan and teaching materials, and you will have approximately 45 minutes to present the artist, have a discussion with the students and then do a project at the end. This will follow the standard curriculum for each school. You do not need to have any background or prior knowledge of art in order to volunteer.
