Do I need to volunteer a certain number of hours if I join the PTO?

No. Joining the PTO does not require a minimum number of volunteer hours. We understand that every family’s schedule, availability, and circumstances are different. Whether you volunteer your time, participate in fundraising efforts, attend events, or simply support through membership, every level of involvement is valued and appreciated. Every contribution—big or small—helps support our students, staff, and school community.

How are PTO funds used?

PTO funds directly support students, teachers, and school programs. Funds may be used for:

• Student incentives and recognition programs

• Teacher and staff appreciation

• School events and family engagement activities

• Educational enrichment opportunities

• Campus support and special projects

How do I stay informed about PTO activities?

When are PTO meetings held?

PTO meetings are held throughout the school year. Dates and times will be shared on the website calendar and school communications.

Can I attend PTO meetings if I’m not a member?

Yes! All parents, guardians, teachers, and supporters of Burton Elementary are encouraged to attend PTO meetings.

How can I share ideas or concerns with the PTO?

We value your input. Parents and staff can share ideas, suggestions, or concerns by attending PTO meetings, emailing the PTO, or completing the contact form on our website.
