Player Rules
- Players must use “common” sense.
- Play with your team, not against them. Remember to study spells and attacks so you do not cause needless friendly fire. That means understanding and knowing your character and what they can do.
- Don't fight the DM. Make them happy. Remember the DM can give you karma...big time.
- Don’t cheat in items you don’t have
- It’s about role play, don’t be too serious. This is also about problem solving and about what you and your adventuring group can overcome together through abilities and items.
- Be nice to everybody (Except the puny goblin peaches)
- Your character isn’t an excuse to be rude. So if you have a rather obnoxious character, be careful on how you use that character and what you say.
- Be original and have fun. Be descriptive when playing to avoid confusion.
- You are your CHARACTER, not you. Don’t use metagame thinking*
*Metagaming is a term used in role-playing games, which describes a player's use of real-life knowledge concerning the state of the game to determine their character's actions, when said character has no relevant knowledge or awareness under the circumstances. This can refer to plot information in the game such as secrets or events occurring away from the character, as well as facets of the game's mechanics such as abstract statistics or the precise limits of abilities. Metagaming is an example of "breaking character", as the character is making decisions based on information they couldn't know and thus would not make in reality.
