A piano montuno is a distinctive, highly syncopated accompaniment pattern found in Cuban music. Piano montunos are based on a repeated rhythm that lasts for two measures. The most common montuno rhythm is shown below.
I know the question seems a bit odd, because it's probably hard to describe.. But i really love latin music and I would really like to be able to play montunos, but everytime i try it sounds horribly wrong because i don't know what notes i need to play.. Here's an example of what i would want to be able to play.. I found a lot of videos on youtube that simply didnt help me at all :/.
