Wallradar Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 11, 2026

Wallradar is provided by Canvas & Code. This Privacy Policy explains how Wallradar accesses, uses, stores, and shares information.

Information Wallradar Uses

Location information

With your permission, Wallradar accesses your device’s approximate or precise location to:

Your most recently selected location is stored locally on your device. Wallradar can still operate without location permission by using Minneapolis, Minnesota as its default location.

Wallradar sends location coordinates, map boundaries, or derived map-tile locations to external weather and mapping services as necessary to provide these features.

Locally stored information

Wallradar stores the following information on your device:

Wallradar does not provide user accounts and does not maintain a developer-operated database containing this information.

Depending on your Android backup settings, Android or Google may include app data in your device backup. Google handles that information according to the Google Privacy Policy.

Network information

When Wallradar requests weather information or map imagery, external providers may receive your internet address, requested location or map area, request time, and other standard network information. These providers may maintain server logs according to their own policies.

External Data Providers

Wallradar obtains information from:

Their privacy policies are available at:

Wallradar is not affiliated with or endorsed by NOAA, the National Weather Service, the U.S. Geological Survey, OpenStreetMap, or Google.

Advertising and Analytics

Wallradar does not contain advertising or analytics services. It does not use advertising identifiers, sell personal information, or use location information for advertising.

Permissions

Wallradar may request:

You may deny or revoke location and notification permissions through Android settings.

Data Retention and Deletion

Locally stored settings, coordinates, identifiers, and cached imagery remain on your device until they are replaced, removed by Android, cleared through the device’s application settings, or deleted when Wallradar is uninstalled.

Because Wallradar does not provide accounts or operate a user-information server, there is no separate online Wallradar account to delete. External providers may retain network logs according to their own privacy and retention policies.

Security

Wallradar uses encrypted HTTPS connections when retrieving weather and map information. Locally stored information is kept within the app’s private Android storage. However, no electronic transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children’s Privacy

Wallradar is not directed toward children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children for advertising or profiling.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if Wallradar’s features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of the policy will be updated when changes are made.
