What are we: The Wallingford 350th Jubilee Celebration Committee is a town committee formed to plan events and commemorate the town's founding in the year 2020. Here's a sneak peek at the Volunteer list of dedicated organizations, town committees, and residents volunteering on a variety of events. We invite you to complete our form and add your talents to this great celebration!
How we started: Our Town owes a great amount of gratitude to past Jubilee Committees, their chairpeople and the countless volunteers and sponsors who blazed such a rich template to duplicate. With those memories and much memorabilia to review, a few citizens started to brainstorm the 350th anniversary concept in 2016. The Honorable Mayor Bill Dickinson convened a few volunteers to discuss, and requested Town Council approval in March, 2016 to form the Wallingford 350th Jubilee Committee.
As a town committee, all citizens, business, descendants and friends are invited to join the planning and the celebration. As a part of this special community, be a part of history on our march to June, 2020!
All community organizations and individuals are joining the cause! Organization of planning committees & events is underway for one to two events each year leading to the Jubilee. Additionally a week-long schedule of activities will be planned for June, 2020, with volunteer, event hosting, and sponsorship opportunities available. All are invited to join the 350th!
