Group Mission Trips, under the arm of the 501(c)(3) non-profit Group Cares, has been serving under-served communities since 1976 when the Big Thompson River in Loveland, Colorado flooded. Thom Schultz, the founder of Group Publishing, called out to youth groups across the country for help, and they answered. Over 300 volunteers came in the summer of 1977 and repaired the homes and lives of those affected by the tragedy.
41 years later, The Wallingford Workcamp Team hosted its first Group Mission Trip right here in Connecticut!
Groups history in mission work makes it the leading provider of youth mission trips in the country. Their two pronged mission of serving communities through Christ and bringing youth closer to Christ is an effective and life changing ministry. The Wallingford Workcamp Team is looking forward to partnering with Group to provide Wallingford with a life changing experience.
