Each month we have a county-wide training with the Fire & EMS agencies in King and Queen with topics ranging from vehicle extrication, to incident command, to EV fire suppression.
We've recently started a similar monthly county-wide training in King William with their Fire & EMS agencies to accomplish the same goals.
We work hard to keep the bonds strong with our fellow brothers and sisters at the surrounding departments. It's important to not only be able to put a face to the name, but to ensure we are all on the same page when approaching the fire scene, and be able to work as one for the same common goal.
This specialized training focused on the operations of the HCA Virginia Health System Air Care Eagle and EMS, including a walkthrough of the helicopter and techniques for setting up an emergency landing zone. While many of our seasoned members were already familiar with the process, it was an invaluable learning experience for our newer team—and even the experienced personnel picked up new insights. Thank you to everyone who hosted and attended this important training.
