The Camas Youth Health Alliance is a student-led club at Camas High School focused on promoting health, service, and community impact. We organize events, fundraisers, and volunteer opportunities that help support important health causes. This year, we are working to raise funds and awareness for Blood Cancer United through their Student Visionaries program, while bringing students and the community together to make a difference.

THE CAUSE: BLOOD CANCER UNITED
Blood Cancer United (BCU) is an organization dedicated to fighting blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. They work to fund critical research, support new treatments, and provide resources for patients and families affected by these diseases. Through fundraising events and community involvement, campaigns like ours help raise money that goes toward advancing cures, improving care, and supporting people going through blood cancer.

WALKATHON TEAM: LEAD BY ESTI ZIESMER
Hello, my name is Esti Ziesemer, and I am a member of the Youth Health Alliance at Camas High School. About two years ago, I had a very scary experience where I was hospitalized without knowing what was happening. It was one of the most terrifying moments of my life. During that time, I was supported by so many incredible nurses, doctors, and members of my community. That experience inspired me to give back and support others going through difficult times, which is why being part of YHA and supporting Blood Cancer United means so much to me.
