Cape Access started back in 2004 . In 2004 & 2005, 6 eCentres where already operating, Elim eCentre was the in 2004 then others followed. Cape Access eCentre`s are currently running around Western cape only with 70 eCentre`s , building other eCentres around each city for means of easy accessibility. Cape Access is a government program initiative,funded by government,managed by a special purpose vehicle LBC (library business corners), partners on board with ICDL ,Western Cape Municipalities, COMET, UWC & other Government Departments.

Wale Street was opened in 2013 and started operating in 2014 October till present. Wale Street is the 34th eCentre to be opened out of all the 70 eCentres around Western Cape
