Car Parks at Aberdesach
We set off early and arrived at Aberdesach once again to make use of the small free beach side car park whichwe usedon our last visit. The plan was to do our walk and catch a bus back here at the end. This was a shorter walk today to help out with our next walk from Trefor to Nefyn. It looked like it would be a bit much walking Aberdesach to Nefyn as there looks to be a huge hill to cross as well as two busses to catch. We would walk to Trefor and around it. The first half of our walk was once again along the busy A499, leaving at the village of Clynnog-fawr briefly before returning to the main road. Then we leave for Trefor and the coast path runs around the village visiting Trefor Beach and then the National Trusts Morfa and Nant Bach for great views of Yr Eifl (The Rivals) the ruins of Yr Eifl granite quarry. The quarry opened in 1830 and was once one of the largest granite quarries in the world. We head around and just before we head away from Trefor we head back to the village to catch a bus back to Aberdesach.
