Wakeup Foundation has executed projects in Rajasthan, MP, Gujrat, Chhattisgarh, and other part of the country, to name a few and is working extensively in the Rajasthan region towards providing solutions to various clients such as in; Jal Jeevan Mission, Revised Osmosis Solar Plan installation, Mobile Health Camps, Solar Street Lights installation in villages, plantation and skill development programs for rural poor youths.

Proposed Interventions

Skill Development

The intervention will target to deliver trainings to the youth. The training will target to provide vocational skill training to the unemployed youth, drop-outs and college students as the target beneficiaries. It focuses on fresh skilling in sector of Green Jobs, Telecom, etc.; for those who have never worked in the sector. Training will offer them opportunity to get skilled in the proposed sector in order to get gainful employment & to be entrepreneurial. Such training programs will be offered through Instructor-led-Training (ILT) model that will have an amalgamation of Theoretical & Practical sessions. The beneficiaries will be provided hands on training practical exposure with the help of lab equipment required as per the proposed job role for training.

Safe Drinking Water

Dispensing safe and drinkable water 24/7 through the year. People can purchase water on the pay per use’ basis as and when they want. Easy access at community meeting places. Saves the time and efforts that people spend on travelling or standing in queues to fetch safe and pure drinking water. Protection from water borne diseases. People learn to use water prudently as they have to pay for it; even it is a nominal cost. Water ATMs reduce the generation of empty plastic bottles that is considered as a biggest environment threat.

Medical Camps and Services

Mobile camps are part of a strategy for the provision of occasional ambulatory health services. The choice of services offered varies, but typically includes a range of preventive measures (immunization, health promotion, disease screening), as well as curative services (usually surgical or dental care). Services are by nature intermittent, which means that Mobile Health Units suffer from intrinsic constraints which must be considered before a decision is made about which services to provide. The choice of services (vaccination, health promotion, preventive activities, transfer of patients, curative care) must be appropriate, and each activity must be carefully planned, the mode of action, human and material resources, time frame and logistics. These activities must respond to priority, pathologies, determined based on mortality and morbidity rates. Mobile Health Camps can be used effectively to provide a package of selective primary health services. Preferably, there should be a fixed health facility to which patients can be referred. The MHC strategy must remain exceptional, to be used only as a last resort with the aim of providing health services to population groups which have no access to a health care system.

Plantation for Environmental Sustainability

Our Community Plantation Program has been designed to create a biodiverse area which can in turn contribute towards the green-lungs in an around cities thereby focusing on maximum impact on the environment while also providing food, shelter and fodder to the plants and animals of the region.

Trees will be planted in the rural community lands. Native variety trees and/ or medicinal trees will be planted as part of the intervention. The program is aimed to not just plant but create a wide socio-environmental impact –providing employment opportunities (irregularly), biodiversity promotion and greening of degraded land. Additionally, each planted tree will be photographed and geo tagged. We will assign the trees in the name of employee volunteers, organization names, as per the data shared with us. The intervention will also engage the employees of the organization through online plantation drives, day long rural tours and other employee contribution events imbibing the sense of ownership towards the environment.
