I could be the only one in this world with this problem but it's really hard for me to get out of bed in the morning. I've tried playing my favorite music to wake up to or that annoying the world is ending ringtone the iPhone has ehhh ehhh ehhhhhh! But for some reason if I hear my phone "ringing" I get right up almost tricking my mind that someone's calling. I guess a phone call is more important than getting up for work _()_/.

Just created a custom alarm sound and so far I've managed to use it as sound for normal alarms but the reason for making it in the first place was because I wanted to use it for my wake-up alarm and I'm not able to use it there.

@Roberta830 I have never heard of the AirBnB ringtone. Is this the sound that your phone emits when you receive an SMS message? If you have a smart phone, you should be able to download a new ringtone or select a different one and set the volume.

No, it's not the coffee that's made me happy, but the 15 minutes we spend every day talking over that cup of coffee. When life was crazy busy having two babies born with CF, we would even wake up an extra 20 minutes earlier to make time for that cup of coffee.

Who knew Johnny Cash ever made television commercials? He just never seemed like that kind of guy to me. But when I discovered this ringtone of Cash singing his own version of the famous Folgers jingle, I was forced to investigate. So here's what I found out. In 1994, which would've been right around the time he was making his American Recordings album, he recorded a Folgers "Best Part of Wakin' Up" commercial in Nashville -- he did the voice-over and sang "Mom's Story." Then he did another one later that year called "Ann's Story." He also recorded some radio spots around the same time and one of those, "Waking Up at Home," is now the ringtone. He never appeared on camera, though, just did the vocals. It has the familiar tune and lyrics like, "I've awakened to mornings bright/I put the Folgers on and the aroma wakes me like I was never gone/Taste that's sayin' 'Johnny, you are home.'"

This script has 4 color states it fades between, currently it takes 600 seconds per state to do a full transition. Be careful with testing, you will have to wait 30 minutes to complete the full script! The colors are defined with the XY color gamut from Philips: -content/uploads/2018/02/color.png. I tried to reproduce the colors as close as the original wake up light.

I just tried it with Deconz (group) and Gledopto bulbs, works perfect.

Only issue is that if the light is off (as it use to in the night) the lamp will flash its last state before the new state is set.

The problem is that the music (started with either Ringtone or MediaPlayer) plays when the phone is on (on home screen or in the app), but doesn't play when the phone wakes up from sleep. Only the sound is the problem everything else works just fine.

I think maybe you can solve your problem by implementing a WakeLock in your receiver, acquiring it before triggering the alarm, then release it after user stops alarm sound. Take a look at: , to see how implement a WakeLock that turn on the screen.

If you're sleeping through your alarm, it could be because you're turning your phone's ringer volume all the way down before you go to bed. Instead of using the volume buttons to make your phone silent throughout the day, just use the silent switch (above the volume buttons) to turn your phone's ringer off. This will turn off your phone's ringer but leave your alarm intact.

Hehe, I have trouble to hear alarm in the morning because I love to stay awake late in the evening flying DCS or repairing my RC planes... so, sometimes I need nightmare to wake me up. This alarm could help.

Now if you want all SmartThings notifications to play this file, select it as the application notification. I just wanted the SMS messages from SmartThings that are sent from alarm conditions to trigger the file. To do this I added a contact and included the phone number from the SMS messages sent by SmartThings as the mobile number. Then you can add a field to the contact to specify a custom message notification sound and select the music file you added to the Notifications folder. Give the contact a name and save it. SMS messages from SmartThings will appear with the contact name and trigger the custom notification. Make sure the file plays long enough to wake you up, though, since it will only play through once. This eliminates the need to devote memory to IF an/or Tasker. Your notifications volume will need to be set fairly loud, so other short notifications might hinder your sleep.

iOS 17 is now available to download on any iPhone newer than an iPhone XS, and alongside a hidden setting that will make your iPhone feel twice as fast, my favorite new feature of Apple's latest software update is the refreshed ringtone library.

Unlike Radar or the other iOS ringtones, these sounds are designed to gently wake you up in the morning. Soft pianos, bells, even bird chirps are an immediate improvement over the panic-inducing chimes we know and hate. Why Apple only includes these alarm sounds in the Sleep feature is unclear.

My smart watch, a Garmin vivoactive 3 Music, has different vibration settings (Low, Medium, or High). The "High" setting definitely jolts me awake when I receive a text or an alert in the middle of the night.

I found a .WAV of an over-driven, super-loud FOG HORN, which I added to the "Vibe and Ring" setting to make the phone go nuts when one particular number calls. All other calls get a quiet, peaceful ringtone.

A big part of successfully waking up to your alarm is understanding your body and what works for you. Your ringtone may be one of the things that is not working for you. The kind of ringtone that you use is a big factor in how difficult or how easy it may be to wake up. A tone that is too soft may not wake you up promptly, whereas a tone that is too harsh may not motivate you to wake up at all. Try out a few over the course of a couple nights and decide which tone you like best.

Q: I have heard that waking up to the sound of a ringing alarm is not a good way to start your day. Is it better to wake up to a certain kind of music? Would that set up a better ambience within ourselves before we face the day?

These have been formatted for different deities in the country. It has mostly disappeared these days, but otherwise, at least in most of the villages and small towns in India, this would be the first thing you heard in the morning. Everyone woke up to this. Essentially, the idea is to wake up to the right kind of sounds.

But an easier thing to do is to maintain an awareness when coming awake. It does not have the same significance as when going to sleep, but coming awake is an easier thing to do because it happens in a gradual way.

Coming awake to an alarm bell with a sudden start is not the best way. The kind of food that you consume, the kind of thoughts and emotions that you process within yourself, and the level of vibrance that you have managed within your body will determine how much sleep you need. Whatever amount of sleep you need, you know how much you need, so you go to bed early enough so that you come awake naturally. Suppose you have a doubt whether you will come awake naturally or not, if you have a certain chant, if you have identified one of the Vairagya chants, you can use it. ff782bc1db
