Meet Waihi, our fearless leader and Managing Director!

With a solid decade of experience in the building industry under his belt, he’s the backbone of our team. In 2021, he decided to take the leap into being sole director, starting out as a one-man band and growing the business to where it is now with an awesome team of 7!

Waihi’s favourite word is “efficiency”, and he lives and breathes it every day. From scheduling jobs, to planning the best route from suppliers to appointments to sites in the most time effective ways. He has a remarkable ability to adapt to change and keep our team on the path to success.

Off the building site, he’s a bit of a boy racer at heart, still holding a keen interest in cars, a sports enthusiast, and loves spending time with his beautiful family and close friends.

He is also notorious for throwing a good dad joke into conversation!

Emma is our Office Manager extraordinaire! She’s the heart and soul of the office, juggling accounts, payroll, marketing and more recently getting involved in the health and safety side of things.

As the bosses other half, Emma has been with the business since it’s incorporation. Bringing experience from work in a CA firm and a variety of small businesses, as well as qualifications in payroll, administration and accounts, she’s been instrumental in our growth and success!

Outside of the office she's a great mum to her two boys, loves a beach walk and is always finding new things to learn.

And t's not often you see her without a smile!

Dave is our go-to Foreman, looking after our on-site crew and ensuring our projects run like a well-oiled machine.

Dave has been in the building game since 2004, and his journey here is a true testament to the power of connections. He and the boss were school mates back in the 90’s and reconnected after 20 years! Making the move from Mangawhai to Christchurch with his lovely family, he’s adapted to the cooler weather and after surviving the last two winters in Canterbury, we think he’s here to stay!

What Dave likes most about building is being part of a great team, and we’re stoked he’s a part of ours.

Beyond the construction site, he's a true adventurer. You can find him chasing waves while surfing, casting lines for a big catch while fishing, and gliding down the slopes while skiing with the family. 

If you’re lucky, you might even get a taste of his culinary skills, the man whips up a fried chicken to die for!

Say hello to Jadon, our vibrant apprentice bringing a splash of colour to our team! Previously a painter, Jadon has seamlessly transitioned into the world of building with enthusiasm and a fresh perspective.

When he's not mastering the art of construction, you'll find him conquering the waters dragon boating and Waka Ama. He's not just skilled in building structures; he knows how to navigate those waves too!

Beyond his active pursuits, Jadon is an advocate for general healthy living and exercise.

What he enjoys most about building is the constant learning. For Jadon, the satisfaction of understanding the intricate geometry behind a project is just as rewarding as getting the job done. 

Meet Clevelyn, our dynamic apprentice with a unique journey into the world of building! Clevelyn joined our team after finishing school early last year, he had a go at shearing sheep in Gisborne and was then given the opportunity to move down to Christchurch to learn the ropes with uncle Waiz!

With a passion for sports and a competitive spirit, he’s even jumped on a league team down here and played a few games for the Northern Bulldogs.

Off the field, he enjoys the simple pleasures of life, especially a good night’s sleep. That’s great for us as he’s always up early ready to go!

Clevelyn thrives on learning new skills every day and embraces the challenges that come his way, and we’re stoked to see him progressing in his journey towards being qualified!ourney towards being qualified! 

Say hello to Conor, our talented Apprentice! Conor’s journey with us began after he completed a pre trade course at Ara, and he’s been a valuable addition to our team ever since.

As a young and enthusiastic member of our crew, Conor is always eager to learn and bring fresh ideas to the table, and we’re very impressed at the progress he’s made since joining our team!

Outside of work, you’ll often find him socializing with friends and sharing a laugh or getting his hands dirty working on cars. He enjoys being a responsible driver, and adhering to the legal speed limits 😊 

What Conor enjoys most about the world of building is the excitement of doing something different every day. The constant challenges keep him on his toes and make every project a unique adventure.
