Christina Bremer
Christina is a postdoctoral researcher in Lancaster University's Socio-Digital Sustainability group, where she is working on Net0Insights, a multi-disciplinary project led by researchers at Lancaster University working alongside major industry partners; as part of the project, she is developing and designing digital tools that help reduce energy consumption. More generally, Christina is interested in research that holistically addresses the environmental and societal impacts of digital technologies.
Vlad C. Coroamă
Vlad is the founder of the Roegen Centre for Sustainability, Switzerland and a lecturer of digitalisation and sustainability with the TU Berlin, Germany. He previously held research and teaching positions in Brazil, Switzerland, Portugal, and Sweden. Motivated by the urgency of the climate crisis, his research revolves around the relation between digitalisation and the environment. He contributed both methodologically and with concrete assessments to understanding the environmental impact of ICT, in particular the Internet.
Mattias Höjer
Mattias is professor in Environmental strategies and Futures studies at KTH since 2012. He has mainly been working with Smart sustainable cities and Futures studies for sustainable development with focus on energy use and climate change mitigation. Areas he has been especially involved in are related to digitalization, sustainable cities, transport and buildings. Mattias was heavily involved in developing the Swedish National Strategic Innovation Agenda for Smart sustainable cities, 2013-2014, later becoming the Strategic Innovation Program Viable Cities.
Dan Schien
Dan is a senior lecturer (Associate Professor) in Computer Science at the University of Bristol.
He investigates the sustainability of ICT by studying its direct and indirect effects on the environment. He has a long expertise with assessing the direct environmental effects of digital media services.
He is increasingly involved in the assessment of the enabling effects of ICT as well as its policy implications.
Charlie Wilson
Charlie is a professor of energy and climate change in the Environmental Change Institute (ECI) at the University of Oxford. He is also a visiting research scholar at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) in Austria. His research is at the intersection between innovation, people, and policy in the context of energy and climate change. He analyses the drivers and dynamics of change in energy transitions, both historically and into the future using scenarios and modelling. He is also interested in micro-scale processes of low-carbon innovation, technology adoption, and pro-environmental behaviour.
