About us

Neither of us consider ourselves city people.  We love living in Laingholm – have lived here for thirty years and know the local area well. John is semi-retired and works part time doing the school run for children with special learning needs. Vivienne is a teacher.  We are fortunate to have one of our two adult children living locally at the moment - we know that our love of travel has rubbed off on them both!

We share our home with Indie and Arnie, ragdoll cross brothers who may well pay you a visit while you are here.

We have travelled extensively over many years, love to stay in places that reflect the country we are in and enjoy meeting people from around the globe.   We want you to enjoy your time with us. And so, we are equally happy for you to relax in your own private accommodation and make your own plans, or to spend time with you sharing our local knowledge and helping you to plan places to visit and things to do during your stay.
