I am an Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA), Bengaluru. My research focuses on the Physics of the Sun and its influence on the space environment around Earth and across the heliosphere. I investigate coronal mass ejections (CMEs), solar wind, MHD shocks, space weather, and stellar activity using multi-instrument observations and modelling.
Before joining IIA, I completed post-doctoral research appointments at the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research (Germany) and the University of Science and Technology of China (China). I also worked as a Visiting Researcher at George Mason University (USA). These diverse international experiences have played a key role in shaping my scientific vision and expanding my collaborations across the global heliophysics community.
I have been honoured with recognitions such as the Associate of the Indian Academy of Sciences (IASc), the NASI–Platinum Jubilee Young Scientist Award, and the President’s International Fellowship Initiative (PIFI) from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).
My work has been published in reputable journals, including ApJ, MNRAS, A&A, and JGR. I also contribute to the community as a reviewer for multiple journals and as a Review Editor for Frontiers in Astrophysics and Space Science.
Outside of my research, I enjoy reading Hindi literature and history, practising yoga, and engaging in science outreach. I believe science becomes most meaningful when it inspires curiosity, encourages young minds, and helps society understand the universe in which we live.
